What is Image identity?

The phrase ‘Image Identity’ is a core part of the language I use with my clients. However, it does need some explaining, so here are some key points in understanding Image Identity.

Image means: ‘the reputation a person has, including the characteristicsappearance, etc. that they are known for.’

Identity means: ‘the fact of being who or what a person is.’

The phrase Image Identity matters above all others because it is the basis on which all image decisions are made when working with me. It brings together the whole person, leaving out no single element of an individual, but rather looking for a complete picture that goes beyond the mere clothes we put on our bodies.

Starting with the central concept that we are made exactly as we are meant to be, (a hard pill to swallow at times, I know), the aim is to work from that place outwards, learning, evolving, growing and creating.

The two key elements that are assessed are:

1. Physical characteristics.

How we asses Physical Characteristics:

Size and shape of skeleton & bones.

Type of musculature.

Type of flesh.

Facial features,

Face shape,

Hair type and colour,

Eye colour,

Skin colour,

Foot size and shape.

Hand size and shape.

Height.

2. Inner Vibe.

How we assess Inner vibe:

Your inner world

Your approach

Your talents

Your focus

Your motivations

Your world

Your approach to life

What makes you tik

The innermost, fundamental truths about you.

What you like & love

What you excel at

What you are known for

How others describe you

How you describe yourself

How you make others feel & react when you enter a room

How you have ‘always been’

The Physical characteristics and the Inner vibe must be always thought of together, as inseparable.

Never again to wonder whether something is ‘for us’ or living with comparisonitis. The aim is always to be so connected to all the factors above that you find the whole process of dressing and styling yourself, not only effortless, but also a joy!
